7/15/2012 - I have done more work on the app. I haven't fixed anything and probably won't fix anything until I finish getting all of the regs installed so it will be almost 100% native. Once I get all of the information in the app then I will go back and fix other things and add new stuff. I don't know how any of you feel about it but I think I will supply two versions of this app. A free app, with no advertisments but with limited functionality and a small fee app that will have more functionality like search and other things as I think of them. If you have any ideas about what you would like to see developed into this app drop me a line and let me know.

6/4/2012 - Updates have been done. Part 56 is about half way complete. You should be able to get all the way to 56.12071 without needing web access. If you have any problems let me know and I will get it fixed asap.

I was looking around for an Android App that listed the major parts used in the mining industry known as 30 CFR part 48. Surprisingly I could not find ANYTHING related to MSHA (even though there was more than enough OSHA stuff), so I am in the process of writing an app that lists 30 CFR parts 46, 48, 56, 57, 58 and 62 and I am thinking of adding the program policy manual and some other cool safety links I have found in future releases.

I was going to put this on Google Play for a fee or offer an ad based free version but I decided not to do that. The safety industry is and should be a group of professionals that are working together as a team and we should share our experience and talents with others that are interested so I am putting it here for you to download free of charge.

I may still add it to Google Play in the future but I want to finish it first, (duh right?), get the publishers fee of $25.00, add a few more features and add some very useful links I have found over the last 10 years of safety work.

Click the link below and use it. At this moment it is not complete, as I said above, but most of Part 46 and 48 are there and I am currently working on Part 56, which is very long. The parts that say available are complete and will work whether you have internet connectivity or not and the options that say Internet Only will only work when you have a network connection.

I am writing a native app with all of this included in case you are on a property that is network challenged but still want to be able to lookup regs at your leisure without worrying if you have network connectivity or not. I work in a network challenged area and do not have any access and that's why I thought of this.
